Dyrk hated to admit it, even to himself, but his own comfort was all that really mattered to him. But at the moment, Baruch, the ruler of the realm, the Composer of the music of life, was sitting in a chair in his living room. "A...a treasure...stole...stolen from you?" "Indeed," said Baruch, "a jewel, a gem most precious to me was stolen almost from under my nose. I believe it has been taken to Black Mountain far to the North where dwarves do business with a witch who goes by the name of Nith." Dyrk gulped and tried to smile. "And you want m...me to...to..." "Yes, I have chosen you to find...

What is God's purpose, His intent for me as well as for mankind in general? How does God's truth relate to the "stuff of life"? In this book I record a number of musings on those questions and more collected from my journals. Some of the subjects are controversial in light of where our culture is today. My concern is not to accommodate the culture, but to bring God's truth to bear on the culture.

The Wayhouse at Weedle Incidents are loosely or directly connected with the Wayhouse at Weedle, an inn in the Morse Mountain Country. They are engaging stories encompassing the struggle between light and darkness, and most involve Kadizrek, the Wandering Wizard. In The Hostler, "Scar," a principled man of quiet dignity, knows who he is and what he stands for, and feels no need to defend himself or prove anything to anyone. Yet, throughout the story he does prove himself over and over. He's the hero young Brenae needs and we all love. In Purgatory, Jyke is about to graduate to "death warrior"...

Labyrinth is defined as an intricate combination of pathways. In this story Kandras and Kovan, their sons, Camelu, and Princess Andreanna take divergent entangled paths to a shared destiny. Kandras wears a pendant called The Crystal of Knowing. The pendant first appears in a separate short story titled The Blood Stream, a magical tale that takes place sometime prior to Labyrinth. Although it is available as a separate "quick read" book, I have included it as a part of Labyrinth for its backstory value.
