This work reviews and analyses design options used to assess the feasibility of a Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) to supply heating to twelve flats. Incentives for communal heating and renewable energy are examined, as are grants and schemes provided to assist uptake of GSHP systems. Four elements of GSHP system design are evaluated: heating load, pump size, borehole array and heat delivery system.
