The purpose of this book is to bring into one volume the various records pertaining to the Revolutionary War soldiers and widows of soldiers who have ties to Switzerland County, Indiana. Included are Switzerland County inhabitants who have not previously been identified as having served in the Revolutionary War. Recognition is given to the widows who settled in Switzerland County after the death of the widow's soldier husband.
