The book entitled, "Diversity of the genus Gaultheria L. (Ericaceae) in India" provides a detailed taxonomic revision of the genus Gaultheria L. in India including 22 species, of which 3 are new to science. Most of these species are common to its neighbouring countries viz., Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, China and Myanmar. Therefore, it is helpful to these countries also.
