Delmarva Adventure, the romance novel, developed from an encounter I had while on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. I was Plein Aire painting at a historically restored plantation when I saw and felt a spirit in one of the windows and again when I entered the old manse. A year later I started writing about the character, Caroline; which I developed from the idea of the ghost in the window. I returned to the plantation and visited the gravesite on the property to find that the name of the lady of the manse was also Caroline. This coincidence made me want to write an adventure whirlwind romance...
