The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) received a request for technical assistance from the County of Guilford, Public Health Department in North Carolina. The request concerned cancer among employees in the Information Services Department. Employees were concerned about exposure to magnetic fields (MFs) from computer servers and other electrical equipment at the worksite. A survey of workplace MFs was conducted in November 2008.
