After finding out she was pregnant at age fourteen, she began writing poetry. Often surrounded by chaos and trying to make sense of it all, she continued to write, and attended college until she recieved her Master's degree in Social Work. Years later, at age 31, as her son was moving out to live on his own, she wrote the final poem. Spanning a sixteen year period of her life, these poems are stories of her childhood, of parenthood, of her life as student and social worker.
