Two contrary metaphors have been used to speak of the salvation of God. SAVING SALVATION champions the "Highway to Heaven" metaphor rather than the "Ticket to Heaven" one. Salvation is more of a love-drenched, life-yeilding, journey in the will of God than a doctrinal, quick-fix, pass into glory. As part of this journey, SAVING SALVATION argues for faith and works as cooperative partners (not opposing doctrines) in the salvation by grace process.
