These poems were written as part of the Postcard Poetry Fest, conducted each August. In 2011, the author let her collection of postcards set the tone and topic, "Travel." In 2011, she chose a specific theme "Alcohol Apologies" and manipulated the cards she sent out accordingly. And in 2013, she purposely limited her poem structure to the 17-syllable American Sentence format and super-imposed her words over the graphics.
