Michele Camera Faurot was born in Northeastern Pennsylvania and has been in the kitchen as long as she can remember. Making a short, but giant leap to the upper west side of Manhattan, she honed and perfected her culinary prowess, through a seafood apprenticeship at Citrella fish market, and 3 years as a Sous Chef to a Chinese Chef and cooking school instructor and several upper echelon bistros. Even more pronounced was her transition from NYC to Alaska in 1981, which ultimately ended in a homestead six miles out in the woods, built partially by her own hand, accessible only by walking or dog...
