The art of telling a good story has almost been lost, mostly with the advent of TV and movies. There was a time for parlor guests and interesting conversation, and one better not become too provocative in the face of their elders. A speaker needed some discretion and some circumspection, and a more refined context of language, the better off the speaker happened to be.
