Desert Dogs When a young German Shepherd named Sandy and her family move to and island from the city she finds herself in danger at once. A beast lives on the island and hates German Shepherds like her. Sandy knows that her and her mother are in danger when her father dies working in a mine on the first night of their stay. She becomes friends with two Collie sisters and an almost insane Golden Retriever. Sandy and her friends go out to kill the beast once and for all so that German Shepherds can live happily on the island. Written and illustrated by Ahmaya Moon Andrews age 11
