A good summer read. An environmental comedy of romance and corruption also touching on Maori and Jewish spirituality... plus just a little bit of military hardware as eccentric summer campers tangle with ruthless property developers determined to commercialize their pacific paradise in New Zealand. A farce for anyone who has ever been camping, or despaired of local body politicians and developers, but most of all it's an enjoyable read for those who know we're all late developers in our own little ways.
