In our knowledge-expanding internet world, people are enlightened by divergent thinking on any subject that man can think of. But many current Church doctrines were already in place at a time when the Church insisted that the earth, not the sun, was the centre of our planetary system and persecuted and killed those who begged to differ on that and any other subject.
