This is my 205th book and another in my "What You May Not Know" series. Ira Whitcher wrote a book about the history of Haverhill, New Hampshire, and was very generous in the early stages of Woodsville, a village within the town of Haverhill. He operated a saw mill and built many houses that he sold to local railroad men at reasonable prices and offered affordable financing. He lived on South Court street and gave several plots of land to the town for a library and the court house. This effort also recognizes many others who were contributors to the town.

This is, most likely, my last book. It is #207. It is similar to my best seller "If you believe this I've got a bridge for you" That book had about a hundred life stories. There are many more I'd like to tell Most of my books were historically oriented and about growing up in a wonderful town in New Hampshire, Woodsville. If you knew the old Woodsville you may like this book. I talk about the total downfall of this once friendly community due to the lack of management by present and prior select boards

This effort is a historical fiction. The facts are about the initial explorations and later settlement of Coos Country ... Haverhill, NH. The story is based on two boys turning into two men, in different times, but under very similar circumstances. It is a gripping story, within an historical background. The fiction injected is a suggestion of what might have been the interaction between both real and not-so-real settlers
