Among all carps, rohu has got most preference due to its taste and palatability in Chhattisgarh, but this study shows that Catla is having equally ample nutrients along with high content of protein (more than Rohu), less content of fat (lesser than common carp) and its cost is also less than rohu.Can be referred as a good source of animal protein in peoples daily diet.
