On December 1st, 2009, during his very first visit to Busboys and Poets in DC, Michael was inspired to write a minimum of one haiku a day every day. Four years and a few thousand haiku later, "The Puppy Dog King" is his fourth volume of haiku. This collection contains a year's worth of poetic musings on life, love, loss, and the mundane beauty of the world. Plus, there are movie reviews, song parodies, and full color photos of things that inspired some haiku.
