"Whatever it Took" is an account of the author's thirty year career in investigations and law enforcement, covering from l957 to 1987. The first part emphasizes the years LaMascus spent as Chief Deputy Sheriff of Knox County, Texas, where he did just about everything there was to do in the way of law enforcement in a rural North Texas County.
