When I started quilting in 1993 most of my quilts were pieced in a traditional way using commercial cotton fabrics. I taught myself many of the traditional patterns but always tried to add a contemporary twist. I was intrigued by geometric patterns and was also inspired by nature, first in New England and then in the Sonoran Desert in Arizona. I enjoyed creating my own designs immensely.
