Norman Douglas MacCaud (1933-1993) was a Toronto boy, a career criminal, a participant in the Kingston Penitentiary Riot and some say, a hit man in Ireland in the 1970s and 1980s. As it turns out, he also wrote a book called "Birdsong" after he was deported.
