The primary objectives of this report are to: 1. Build from the National Monument's purpose and significance statements and identify the important physical resources critical to achieving the Monument's purpose and maintaining its significance. 2. Provide background information for the Monument's important physical resources (current condition, related trends, and issues/threats). 3. Define the relevant laws and policies related to physical resources that support management decisions, and identify stakeholder interest.

The I&M Program's Heartland Network (HTLN) recently completed inventories of vertebrate species and vascular plants at Pipestone National Monument (PIPE). In doing so, all existing data were cataloged, targeted field investigations were conducted, and species lists were certified by taxonomic experts. The primary goal of these efforts was to document at least 90% of the vertebrate and vascular plant species believed to occur in the park. This report provides a summary of results.

The Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) Comprehensive Rail Study provides a 20-year framework for the growth and development of Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR). This study documents the current state of the system as a baseline for analysis, and, using CVNP- and CVSR-defined vision and goals for the system, develops a prioritized program of improvements to achieve stakeholders' desired future state.

This report investigates the feasibility of an alternative transportation system (ATS) to MVBNHS. Specifically, the report addresses the feasibility of a shuttle service that could connect visitors to several travel destinations in the region and provide car-free visitors with a connection from the Amtrak station in Hudson to MVBNHS in Kinderhook.

The report consists of four main sections in addition to the introduction and conclusion: Existing Conditions, Needs Assessment, Analysis and Assessment of Transportation Elements, and Transit Feasibility Assessment. In addition to the main body of the report, there are ten appendices that provide supplemental information on strategies considered, transit options, and vehicle selection.

This study evaluates: 1) Connections to existing regional and local public transit systems. 2) Options for managing visitor traffic and parking to and at the site, including an option for providing an off-site staging area for visitor overflow and tour bus/recreational vehicle (RV) parking. A shuttle would operate between the staging area, train station and the park (and possibly other sites to serve the greater community). 3) An integrated visitor information infrastructure, including media and signage. 4) Visitor special event transportation operations.

This report documents a feasibility study for over-the-snow (OTS) transportation service on Herman Leirer Road to the Exit Glacier Area. Through a site visit, interviews, and independent analysis, the study team examined existing conditions, comparable services, vehicle options, market demand, owner-operator models, and business models. The team's conclusions and recommendations are included.

This report first describes the existing conditions on Fire Island with respect to transportation infrastructure, usage, and constraints. It organizes and clarifies the complex transportation systems on Fire Island, including as assessment of the key needs and challenges of various stakeholder groups. In particular, it describes vehicle use in the most detail possible. The characterization of existing conditions will provide a basis from which to identify and evaluate alternative transportation opportunities for the future.

This report focuses on identifying transportation information solutions to alert visitors approaching Shenandoah from the vicinity of Front royal about potential park closures due to weather and congestions issues.

This report focuses on equipment and procedural solutions for gathering and disseminating a wide range of visitor information, including real-time traveler information data relating to traffic and parking at Sandy Hook. Based on an evaluation of the existing TIS efforts, park geography, regional partner agencies, and other data and information opportunities available, this report describes the TIS concept recommended for Sandy Hook. A conceptual framework for a text-based communication platform is presented as a short-term, tangible solution for TIS communication.
