Alejandro F. Pascual was born in Cardenas, Cuba, in 1950 and there attended La Progresiva Presbyterian School. In 1964 he leave for the United States where he obtained a B.A. in International Affairs from Eckerd College and a M.A. in Business Management from Central Michigan University. He backpacks through 11 countries in Europe pursuing his interest in history. He worked as a consultant to the NJ State Department of Education from 1973 to 1979.
