This work begins with the 1725 birth of Theobald Fauss in Rheinville, Rheinfelz, Bavaria, and moves through six generations to the early 20th Century. In 1784, two of Theobald's sons, Nicholas and Theobald, Jr., sailed to America, landing in Baltimore, Maryland, in October 1784.
