The ESO jIAC Workshop on Quasar Hosts was held in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife, from 24 to 27 September 1996 in the Conference Centre of the Ca- bildo Insular de Tenerife. The four days of the meeting were filled with fasci- nating new results and interesting discussions, and ranged from the centre of our own galaxy to some of the most distant objects known in the universe.
