The Indian Himalayan Region (IHR) is considered as storehouse of diverse group of medicinal plant species. Unsustainable in-situ harvesting practices coupled with climate change have posed a serious threat on a number of native and endemic medicinal plants including Angelica glauca and Heracleum candicans (Family-Apiaceae).
