The book gives an overview of the struggle of the Baloch people in Pakistans province of Balochistan to restore their lost independence, analyzing their right to secede in the light of international law and examining whether international law mechanisms can help their cause in the light of the Kosovo advisory opinion given by the International Court of Justice. Even for those not interested in the legal dimensions, the book gives a brief, yet holistic, account of the Baloch issue in the Pakistani context and would make an interesting read for such people as well.
