Public procurement in Kenya is governed by the Public Procurement and Disposal Act (PPDA) 2005, which covers tendering, contracting and reporting as well as settlement of disputes between the procuring entity and the suppliers. However, majority of government contracts in most technical institutes in Kenya are not awarded according to guidelines of the Act.
