Pico proudly hopped out of the nest and then stepped down onto the tree branch. He walked out to almost the very end of the tree branch. There he stood, looking out across the meadow next to the tree. He looked to see how high up he was and oh how high it seemed. Pico is a story about a young bird who wanted to fly perhaps a little too soon, the adventure he accidentally went on and what he learned.

"But I have the sun in the day and the moon at night, I fish when I can and cook to peoples delight, This I enjoy and no more do I ask, But explain becoming happy and what is the task." The Happy Fisherman is a poetic conversation between a young fisherman and a retired businessman on what would make someone happy in life. The two have different ideas of what is most fulfilling and needed to bring joy to oneself. More so, it asks the reader to evaluate what is important in life and what it takes to be content, because they may already have all that they need.
