No one is worried when flight attendant Betty McNair disappears while on a layover in Antigua. Known for her laziness and less-than-exemplary "sleeping" habits, her fellow crewmembers are merely annoyed and decide to fly on to Baltimore without her.

But the next day, Mercury, a member of the flight crew, spies a body floating in Baltimore's Inner Harbor while walking her friend's dog. The corpse is Betty, and Mercury's life is about to get a lot more complicated.
