This work was undertaken with the aim to understand 'ageing', and its dimensions, as it is a life phenomenon that most of us are going to experience. The focus has however been restricted to women in particular, given the evident facts in Gerontology, that there will always be more senior women than senior men. This work is a compilation of information and research from across many fields, thus making it an interdisciplinary text.
