After a tough childhood growing up in a small Michigan town, Mark Welch decides to join the US Army. It's the 1970s, in the midst of the Cold War, but Mark is ready to experience more of the world. He finds himself stationed in Germany, where he makes friends with a variety of people-some who are good, and some who may take him down a dangerous path.
