Thermophillic bacteria was screened from the soils of Jaipur, Jodhpur & Jaisalmer districts of Rajasthan. These bacteria showed a temperature range of 40 C to 78 C for their growth. The bacteria isolated from Jaisalmer soil showed amylase positive raction, whereas from Japiur & Jodhpur soil, negative result at a specific temperature. Bacteria isolated from soils of Jaipur, Jodhpur & Jaisalmer showed negative results for catalase test.
