Counterfeit revivals stir the emotions but never deepen spiritual devotion. In the modern church, men without the Holy Spirit kindle their own fire. Sadly, many modern Christians are not able to discern between the true and false. The brass looks beautiful to those who have never seen the gold. The devil, knowing that there can be no real power without fire, erects altars attended by priests bearing false fire. The Bible calls it strange fire."
