Writing is expressive. It is a way in which one can show vulnerability and strength, humility and pride, curiosity and candor. The high school students at Preparatory Academy for Writers (PAW) challenge themselves, and are not afraid to speak their minds. They write about things that matter to them; whether it is about their lives as teenagers, or simply an imaginative story that highlights an important issue. Young adulthood is a moment of transition; these changes are pertinent to shaping who they will become later in life, and as a result they need a medium for their voices to be heard....
