Jack Begay is a nineteen-year-old Lakota Sioux living in Dorsey, South Dakota in the late 1800s. A quiet man who stays on the outskirts of town, Jack generally avoids conflict, choosing instead to aid those in need and stay out of the way of the rest. But when Jack's friend, Sheriff Moore, is gunned down by the Gore brothers because he supported Native Americans, Jack must make a tough decision: leave the town he loves or stay and fight.
