The murdered young blonde was found with the image of a thunderbolt brutally carved on her chest and a butterfly brooch clutched in her hand. Victor Marino of the Inver Grove Heights Police Department realizes the thunderbolt is one of the Greek god Zeus' symbols and the butterfly is also familiar. His partner is his department's newest investigator, Jennifer Solheim. He's training the beautiful blonde, but finds he must also be her protector when he learns the killer apparently plans to add her to his list of victims.
