Meet Gingerly Matson, an extremely tall, slightly overweight, shy 5th grader from West Intermediate School. Gingerly spends most of her time wishing that she was invisible. That is until she meets her new best friend, Zoey. Zoey has flaming orange hair that is as wild as her personality. Together, Gingerly and Zoey learn that everything is better when you share it with a friend.

Book two of the Gingerly series follows Gingerly as she experiences very bad days which she hopes will turn into good ones. In this edition, Zoey talks Gingerly into become more active in school by joining a club. Gingerly isn't too sure that she wants to go along with Zoey this time. Check it out and see what happens.
