Whitney Kelly is your normal, seventeen year old senior from Manchester Center Vermont. She enjoys spending her free time either hanging out with her two BFFs or strolling in the nearby woods. Everything seems to be going promisingly until her world is opened up to the other side. Not only is her Grammie Lila's failing health her fault, and she is now being seduced by a paranormal entity (without any argument from her) but death is seemingly knocking at her door in the most unexpected place.

Now that Whitney Kelly's true love has been abruptly taken from her, she must find a way to get him back from the light. How will she cope with the awful things that have happened to her? How will she even find a way to function, let alone recover a banished spirit?
