I wrote a book about the origin and development of intercollegiate athletics at Carson-Newman College from 1851 to 1974 which was based on my dissertation at the University of Georgia. It has been thirty eight years since the first book was completed (1974). It had 455 pages of everything from early history to the epic that told the story of those first 123 years.
