Redemption has always been God's Plan for people, and the Jesus pictures show this in key patterns - systems of pictures in which God defines the images. These pictures underlay the stories of the Old Testament, the teachings in the New Testament, and all of human history. The Jesus pictures give rich visual meaning to phrases like, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life" and "I am the Resurrection, and the Life." To truly understand the message of the Cross, we have to understand the Jesus pictures.
