As Marilyn returned home after her shopping spree, she witnessed a terrible accident. She parked her car and hurried to the crushed van only to find a badly hurt woman who was about to give birth. Since she was a nurse she had no trouble delivering the baby. Anne Flemmings informed Marilyn that she wasn't going to live much longer and asked her to please raise her daughter.

Danielle looked at herself in the mirror after she donned the beautiful wedding dress. The face in the mirror didn't appear to have the uncertainty that she felt down in her heart. She wasn't sure she wanted to get married as she was so young. Aunt Edna had encouraged her to be married now and planned the whole wedding. Aunt Edna would be furious if she didn't go through with the wedding. Did Randall want to get married now. She didn't think so. She decided to talk to her Uncle Emerson and see what he thought.

Janice didn't know what to do about a casket for her mother. She had very little money. When a man began to talk with her and suggested a casket, she agreed. Then he paid for it. She became friends with the wealthy man and eventually married him. She knew nothing about his background. All she knew was that he was a good husband and she loved him. What he did for a living didn't matter she thought. Later on she changed her mind but it was too late.
