Rick Merritt is having a very bad day. In the space of twelve hours he loses his house, his car, his self identity, and the will to carry on. Determined to take the easy way out by ending it all, he blindly heads up a gravel road in the mountains of Colorado intent upon driving over the edge of a cliff. But the universe has other plans for Rick and a timely flat tire gives confronts him with a beautiful stranger and a startling opportunity to start his life over if he can find the courage to face his darkest fears.
