Caleb Milligan, wandering the trails of New Mexico, looking for a girl who ran from him. Outside of her, he has no future, no goals. Arriving near dead from exhaustion at a ranch, he is taken in and helped by the rancher's daughter, El Willard. Caleb sees in her something that he's not seen before. Will his wandering end here?
