Synthetic dyes are not eco-friendly and are very hazardous to the environment, but these herbal dyes are ecofriendly and free of many types of sensitivity, allergies and environmental hazards. The present study was carried out the first time to dye the goat skin with aqueous extracts of Mangifera indica, Syzygium cumini & Eucalyptus camaldulensis. Four different types of mordants CuSO4, FeSO4, KMnO4 and Potash Alum were used to fix the dye to leather, to facilitate the take-up quality of the leather and to improve color and light-fastness.
