Alysicarpus monilifer L.(DC.) (Papilionaceae), commonly known as Samervo (Gujarati) or Juhi ghas (Hindi), is a turf forming legume and native to Africa and Asia. In India it is distributed throughout the plains- Madras, Jammu, Bombay, Punjab, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
