The present investigation revealed that the people of Sarai Mughal community know the traditional uses of more than 100 plants. Out of which 35 unique plants used by the people of other areas. Data were collected from 40 families and more then twenty traditional Hakims of the local community through questionnaires. Present study was carried to evaluate the antiallergic activity of methanolic extracts of four members (Ageratum houstonianum, Fumaria indica, Alstonia scholaris and Sisymbrium irio) of different families. The aim of this study was to determine the cardio protective and antilipidemic potential of the some members of the family Zingiberaceae such as Elettaria cardamomum Maton, Ammomumsubulatum, Zingiber officinale, Curcuma longa and Alpinia zerumbet against salbutamol induced cardiac injury in rabbits. Salbutamol administered rabbits showed increased level of LDH Cholestrol and triglycerides and decreased level of HDL- Cholesterol.
