The Race to First is a delightful story about a young girl's need to be first and the reality that being first is not always a good thing. When Rachel finds out she needs glasses, she is devastated by this "first." The news isn't all bad. Rachel has fun picking out glasses and gets lots of attention from her family, friends, and fellow students. In the end, she learns wearing glasses is no big deal.
