The present study was performed to investigate the scientific basis for the traditional uses of the crude methanolic extract and its partitionate of the leaves of the plant Lasia spinosa (Fam: Araceae). The preliminary phytochemical screening showed the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins and glycosides.
