Groundwater from different stations of Satkhira Municipality has been analyzed for assessing the chemistry, source rock evolution and quality. The parameter analyzed are pH, TDS, EC, Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Cl-, HCO3-, SO42-, PO43-, H4SiO42-, F-, I- and NO2-N. The Na+/ (Na++Ca2+) weight ratio against TDS shows that the waters are derived from Rock weathering however few samples suggests dominance of Evaporation crystallization process.
