From the author: "I was born in Florida and lived there until I saw the mountains in North Carolina. Although I still love the palm trees and salt water, I think sometimes we have a calling and I believe the mountains were calling me. In these Poems, I have tried to capture the beauty of the flowing rivers and country fields with cows on them. We don't look at the small things around us; like the graceful coming down of birds to an empty pasture.
